Jennifer Levey
Jennifer is an accomplished singer and songwriter who studied at the B.R.I.T. school and Dartington. She had interest from Mercury Records but took a break from music to bring up a family, and now works as a counsellor and therapeutic mentor. She works with the fantastic Calmer Lives charity which supports neurodiverse families. So when she got in touch about the possibility of making a charity single to support the work of Calmer Lives, I was more than happy to meet up and discuss with her. She’s written some terrific songs, and is full of enthusiasm, so I was delighted to get involved!

Natural High
We selected Jennifer’s brilliant song ‘Natural High’ to record, so I did some edits to the demo and sped it up a bit, then Jennifer brought her son George over to play guitar and bass, and his mate Archie used my Yamaha kit to track the drums here. She recorded the terrific vocals, I added some cello, keyboards and percussion then I mixed and mastered. The song has now been released to raise awareness of Calmer Lives and to mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week in March. You can support the charity and download the single here: https://www.calmerlives.co.uk/ or here https://cedaonline.org.uk/ and read more about the charity. Here’s Jennifer in the fun-filled video…!
Jennifer says: “Thank you so much for everything. I have absolutely loved this whole process and have loved working with you; it’s been such a privilege.”
