EZ Basic
I have collaborated with indie/psych-pop band EZ Basic for over a decade. Now essentially a solo project from leader Árpád Szarvas, this year I have added cello, mixed and mastered a brand new album, Resonance, released on 14th October 2021.
Stay In
There is a wonderful new video to accompany one of the best songs on the album. This track features my cello playing. Like the album, the mood and theme of the clip, recorded in early spring, is dreamy nostalgia with alienation – but with a summery feeling, and a longing for a never-before-seen time. But there is also a mild post-apocalyptic undertone, and psychedelic images reminiscent of the ’60s. Partly shot on Super 8 film, the video is directed by photographer Dániel Gaál Here it is:
Next Time
The latest single is out, the fabulous Next Time, and there’s a “rather weird, ironic, lo-fi, post-apocalyptic/freakshow” video according to Árpád… I think it’s absolutely brilliant!! See what you reckon…!
