My lovely partner Vanessa’s friend and former colleague Cindy Willcocks has won many accolades. Recently she made the top 10 in the prestigious 2020 Florence Nightingale Nurse Of The Year Awards. with her expertise and knowledge channelled into a number of areas. In particular she founded Arterne, a Community Interest Company. Arterne raises awareness of mental health and its links with physical health.
The Butterfly Effect
For “Blue Monday”, Cindy put together this fundraising and awareness-raising album. She got in touch with a number of artists based in the South West. I exclusively donated my solo track “Undercurrent”, and Sundae Club donated “Spiritual Direction”, which seemed pertinent! The album starts with four lively country-influenced tracks. My favourites come after these: I absolutely love the atmospheric and moving track by Ox Eye Daisies. The standard remains high throughout the rest of the album.
