I have been working with Stephen since 2012. An incredibly prolific songwriter, Stephen has been making the trip to see me from his home just outside London for all those years. As well as Laura on harp, we have also employed other musicians to flesh out the tracks. I’ve frequently played and programmed most of the instruments. Other guest musicians include Simon White on bass guitars, Stuart Chalmers (of Traffic Experiment) on guitars, and Dave Cullen on drums.
Stephen says: “I am fortunate to be working with the wonderful George Shilling, a creative genius, recording engineer, producer and multi-instrumentalist who seems to understand what I am trying to do. With the wonders of George’s studio, technology, and know-how, he manages to make me sound half decent.”
